Buying handmade means you are investing in art, creativity and the triumphs and failures of the crafter. For every beautiful finished item, there are many failed attempts and sweary moments.
Every purchase is real money to a real person. It might help pay for groceries, allow investment in tools for their business, cover a kids ballet lessons or maybe just help them to continue to produce their art.
It is impossible for a tiny business like ours to compete against mass-produced silver jewellery available for sale for very little. And neither do we wish to. Often made in sweat shops abroad, and passed as 'handmade' (they are, just not by the seller), these items are bought in bulk for very little, and sold for profit.
Our prices have to reflect our costs and time. We believe we charge a competitive price for something that is unique, beautiful and invested with love and care. We hope that you feel that you are investing in something special and unique to you.
We appreciate every single purchase, and it fills us with joy to hear that you love something we have made.
We thought you should know that.
